Google sign-in and classic sign-in do not work exactly the same way:
-
Enhanced security
Google brings its own protections as the identity provider. Classic Plumelisse sign-in adds email verification and, if you leave it enabled, a one-time email sign-in code.
-
Controlled local password
With classic sign-in, you choose a password dedicated to Plumelisse and can enable or disable two-factor authentication from your account.
-
Recommended two-factor authentication
For classic sign-in, Plumelisse can require a one-time code sent by email. This remains independent from any 2FA already enabled on Google.
-
Minimal data collection
Only the data required for identification is used. Google does not receive your Plumelisse data, and Plumelisse does not access your mailbox.
-
Faster with Google
Google avoids entering a Plumelisse password and can be useful if speed matters most. Classic sign-in remains useful if you prefer to separate your access methods.
-
One address, one linked method
For security reasons, an email address already linked to one sign-in method is not automatically attached to another. You must use the method already registered.
